Fire Alarms

Intruder AlarmsThe Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (FSO) came into effect in October 2006 and replaced over 70 pieces of fire safety law.

The FSO applies to all non-domestic premises in England and Wales, including the common parts of blocks of flats and houses in multiple occupation (HMOs).

The law applies to you if you are:
  • Responsible for business premises
  • An employer or self-employed with business premises
  • Responsible for a part of a dwelling where that part is solely used for business purposes
  • A charity or voluntary organisation
  • A contractor with a degree of control over any premises
  • Providing accommodation for paying guests

A fire risk assessment must be completed by the responsible person and a fire management plan must be undertaken.

We are able to meet all the requirements of the Regulatory Reform Order and offer expert advice on matters of fire safety.

Many companies that suffer a fire never fully recover as important documentation and paperwork is often lost as a result. Connection of the fire alarm system to a Central monitoring station will summon the fire brigade on activation of the fire alarm system.

Ashe Alarms can service, repair or install fire alarm systems. We are fully trained on a wide range of fire alarm panels, both conventional and addressable systems.
